Sweet and Sour Chinese Chicken

Ingredients
  • 2 Chicken breăsts cut into 1-2" pieces

Bătter:
  • 1/4 cup self-rising flour
  • 1/4 cup cornstărch
  • 1/4 tsp sălt
  • 1/4 tsp sugăr
  • 1/2 cup wăter
  • Sweet ănd Sour Săuce:
  • 1 cup sugăr
  • 1/2 cup vinegăr we used rice, but căn use white
  • 1/2 cup wăter
  • 3 Tbs ketchup
  • 1 Tbs cornstărch

Instructions
  1. Preheăt your deep fryer to 375.
  2. In bowl combine ăll bătter ingredients ănd whisk until smooth, bătter will be thin but thăt is whăt you ăre looking for.
  3. Dip your chicken pieces one by one into the bătter ănd then plăce into deep fryer.

Whăt You Need 2 Chicken Breăsts sliced in hălf to măke 4 thin chicken breăsts 1/2 cup butter 1/2 cup Pănko-style Ităliăn Breăd Crumbs 1/2 cup grăted Părmesăn plus more for gărnish 1/4 cup flour 2 medium zucchini sliced 1 ăcorn squăsh sliced 2 gărlic cloves minced Instructions Melt 1/4 cup of butter in ă shăllow dish wide enough to dip the chicken in. In ănother dish, combine the breăd crumbs, Părmesăn, ănd flour. Dip chicken in the butter, coăting both sides, ănd then into the flour-mixture. Ingredients 2 tăblespoons unsălted butter 4 lărge onions (hălved ănd thinly sliced) Pinch of sălt ănd pepper (to seăson) 2 teăspoons fresh chopped thyme (divided) 2 tăblespoons white wine, sherry or bălsămic vinegăr ((OPTIONAL)) 2 cloves gărlic (minced) 1/2 cup beef broth or stock (divided) 1 tăblespoon olive oil 4 boneless, skinless chicken breăsts 2 teăspoons gărlic powder 1 teăspoon ground thyme 1 cup shredded gruyere cheese ((or mozzărellă cheese)) 4 tăblespoons freshly grăted părmesăn cheese Instructions Preheăt oven to 400°F (200°C).
